yea i forgot that. get the maintenence done. it took me from august when i got the car to last week to finish the maintenence minus a valve cover leak. check hoses, plugs, clamps, shaft play, belts, pullies... my radiator hoses started to expand and crack lately so i got some nice gates ones on ebay for like 35 and i love them. and they look pretty. good luck with 400 whp. im looking for 300-350 on my gst and im doing it on a budget too. mainly need injectors and 14b/16g/t28. got the maft set up safc and other jazz.

First get all the maintenance done first, and whatever money you have leftover invest it on a 3" turboback, intake, mbc and save the rest for a turbo upgrade. A 50 trim would help you achieve your 400hp mark.
 
$1k+ is a lot of money for that little performance. If you hold onto your money a bit and spend a bit of time on the classifieds you can get those exact parts for 1/4-1/2 the price. Especially right now used performance parts are cheap and there is even new stuff coming up on the classifieds for cheap, even the vendors are getting into it.

I have a boost and egt gauge, palm logger, 3 inch turbo back, working on 2g mani and o2 housing right now..

what would you spend the money on..best bang for my buck..

Intake- 50$ (ebay)
MBC- 20$ (ebay)
EVO 9 fuel pump- free to 35ish (evolutionm.net classifieds)
EVO 9 560 injectors- 75-135$ (evolutionm.net classifieds)
SAFC- 100-125$ (dsmtrader.com, dsmtuner classifieds)

This is a good setup, although a FMIC would be ideal. But you can turn the boost up to around 18ish considering your engine is in good health and proper maintenance has been done..
 
front mount intercooler.
may be able to find a used setup, or get a intercooler, and work with work stock pipes until you can do a full set of hard pipes. would be cutting it close money wise, but def. best bang to buck ratio

Right on man - turn up the boost. MBC and injectors with an AFC setup wired in - log whats going on and get familiar with what's going on.

Good setup on a budget! With some research/knowledge he can socket the ecu and get a chip burner and use tunerpro for the cost of the afc. this will give him much better timing/fuel control.
2g maf would be good when he gets something to tune as well

you will also want a logger too,

looking for about 350 hp as my goal in the end run just a dd

i've replaced and maintenaced all the parts i needed to

so now comes the upgrades
i have a custom exhaust system already with a megan racing dp
injen short ram intake
hks ssq bov
i have a big 16g turbo with 2g install kti ready to be put on

so now comes the help from u guys on upgrades i should get

ive already began looking at this
Talon/Eclipse 2g short route fmic kit - looking at that as my fmic comes witht he uper piping too...its got the bang for the buck imo

i basically already have a carpc setup in my car (weird i know but i like it) 7inch touch screen in the front with a usb connector hiding somewhere in the front so ill just need the dsm link ill have to check if mine has the eprom
 
If your going to put on the 16g

I would get:
*Bigger Injectors $300
*Some kind of Fuel Management
-SAFC (Can find one for $150 Used)
-DSMLink $600
*Walbro fuel pump $100

^^ Thats to take full advantage of the 16g


After that look into the FMIC
Or even 272 Cams for a nice sound and performance :sneaky:
 
Walbro 190 re-wired
MOTOR MOUNTS since you're fwd
At least 550s but probably need something more like 650s (if you go this big you'll want dsmlink or an eprom chip to compensate, safc isn't very effective with 650s)
Ebay intercooler kit will work fine.
Make sure you do some port work on the turbo/exhaust manifold.

If I remember right all 95s came with eprom ecu's, so you could get dsmlink or just get a keydiver chip for the easy (and cheaper) way out.
 
As mentioned, injectors, link, rewired fuel pump, wideband, mbc?, and the fmic or a biggie side mount would put you around your budget probably with a few dollars for gas heh.

Yeah and you should stick to it. Majority (hell 99%) of your questions that you will ask can be found using the Search function. There's lot of info on FMICs, fuel pumps, turbos, etc etc.
 
....safc isn't very effective with 650s....

Alot of people have tuned 650cc and 680cc injectors just fine with an SAFC...

the HP LPH is the better bet

Remember, While 350hp IS achievable with a 16g... its not as easy as people make it out to be, ive seen alot of Dyno's averge around 300hp with a 16g

Just go to radioshak and buy the items seperate and save a few dollars :ohdamn:
