what about DC Sports

They sure are pretty on Honda's.

You would want a 2g exhaust. If you plan on going with a turbo bigger than a Big 16g get the 3", if not go with the 2.5"

***waits for the "2.5 or 3" argument to begin***

dc sports doesnt make exhausts for eclipses? im not tryin to hate on the rnr but i just think the tip 4" is to big

You can have any tip put on, heck you could have a muffler shop put some same diameter piping on the muffler itself instead of the tip that comes with it. Trust me on this, that's a sweet exhaust. I have the 2.5" exhaust from Buschur Racing. You can see it in my gallery, but their's is:

$675 with test pipe (no cat)
$715 with high flow cat.

The tips are different styles but the same dia.

what do u think about hks though ...im not tryin to bug u guys i just have lots of questions :D

They are nice exhausts also. You're not bugging anyone. It's up to you to be informed and not just buy anything. For the money the RNR exhaust is great. The other things besides price are design and build quality. I would recommend stainless steel. You're also going to want an exhaust that is mandrel bent (not pressbent) for better flow. One of the most important things is to only buy your exhaust once, don't buy a 2.5" if you think that in the future you're going to buy a 50 trim or some big turbo like that. Do it right the first time.

alright i'm tryin to get a whole new turboback exhaust aswell and i checked out that rnr site and it confused the hell out of me.

First of all don't u need o2 housing right after turbo? do the rnr dowpipes eliminate the o2 housing? i saw they had o2 eliminators, but if u dont get that do u just hook it up to ur stock o2 housing?

Also i dont understand their check out menus and stuff they ask u if u want 3" or 2.5" and then they give u this second menu that has all these different options that add costs, i dont understand what was going on with that.

I just want a 2.5" turboback that keeps everything legal, like no dp that connects directly to the catback, i dont know if thats wwhat they have, but i doubt it since i saw high flo cats for sale. ya like 2.5 dp and then can would it be better to go 2.5" catback, or 3" catback? or is that even possible to bolt 3" catback on 2.5" dp. And the mufflers they have are frickin sexy as hell so i'm down with that.

I want to make it before the sale is over so hurrrryyyy and explain this to me i confusedddddd

how can i find out if HKS Hi Power Exhaust is mandrel bent? HKS Hi-Power Exhaust systems incorporate a race inspired angled mounted stainless steel muffler and piping design for greater flow and higher-PRM power gains. Depending on the application, piping size ranges from 55 to 95mm and utilize tips 96 or 120 mm tips.

Okay ima call it a night so ty for info ill check out thread tomorow afternoon and see what is said but see if u can find out if there mandrel bent plz ty

No problem bro, actually you can tell by looking at the HKS one that it's MB. The bends are smooth and the same diameter throughout the bend. Your stock exhaust is pressbent. You will be able to tell the difference.

I pm'ed you bro.

You guys think the HKS exhuast will put off a nice sound ? and also what down pipe to get with it or does it really even matter?

I have some extra cash to spend here, about $800 or so, and I am looking into exhaust systems for my 99 GSX, it needs to be able to pass emissions as well, here in AZ I guess they still have that..ugh..I have done alot of reading about this and it seems people like the Apexi N1, but that is a cat. eliminator, I also hear good things about the turbo back Thermal system, but that is $1100 w/cat. So any sugestions?

rnr racing 3" turbo-back o2 eliminator/cat eliminator = 699$

For smog just get it passed and put the system up. Bolt up the stock setup everytime u have to go get it done again.

I live in cali by the way ;)

hey man where you at in AZ....im like off of ray and i-10...i dont think im near peoria tho..

the rnr o2 eliminator turbo back for that price is nice, i would definately do after that....i just wrecked my talon right before my exhaust got installed...which is a 1g awd o2 eliminator turbo back exhaust.....if u wanna come look at it and see what its like then you are more then welcome. its a very nice piece tho.

I agree, get the RnR exhaust. If you want an aftermarket setup that'll pass, then you can ask Ryan and I'm sure for some more money he'd throw in a 3" cat instead of the test pipe.

Dont know where you got thermal costing that much, i think i paid 600 or something like that for it.

Where did you guys get that system from? I would love a turbo back for about $600 that would be sweet. Also performance wise, does the cat. really hurt that much? Right now I just have the t25.

I tried to goto the website that came up for RNR but it doesn't seem to work, so where can I get a turbo back exhuast from RNR from? I really like that look and sound of that thing!

LOL i've been checking for like 4 days, funny it shuts down RIGHT when i make up my mind on what exhaust i want. Man thats weird.

Bang for the buck... I am only allowed to spend $350 more dollars on the car. I need to know what to buy to get the best 1/10 mile time i can. Its a long story why but bare with me. All i have is a 91 tsi awd 5spd w/ lsd, nos single fogger wet kit w/ purge, greddy type s bov, and a cheap hookup for nice custom exhaust. Let me know what you think i should get.
