alright i just picked up a beater and im wanting to go with a smic. i have been looking for awhile now and it seems the only thing i can find is a supra smic. well i had a supra smic and it was a bi*** and made the bumper stick out and it was a complete diaster.

what other cars stock intercoolers will work? can i weld 2 stock 1g intercoolers and get some good cooling out of that? im not scared to pay someone to come up with something if needed.

there is NO REASON to be paying 4-500 DOLLARS on a SMIC when i can go on ebay and get a fmic kit and built for around 300! i would go with a fmic on this project but im scared about the over heating issue that follows this.

thanks in advance

David,

I picked up my used Dejon for 250.00 shipped and it was one of the best investments I've made. If you can find one of those or a used Hahn, that'll be perfect for your setup. Barring that, my pal Kyle Mavis (mavisky) has an FMIC made from three 1G SMIC cores. It works pretty damn well if you ask me although I'm sure he'd share some cost information with you.

SMIC FTW,

Andy

Well there are deals to be found on SMICs. You just have to look hard enough and be diligent in searching for one.

I picked up my Hahn Big SMIC for $110 shipped to my door off ebay. It works great with the Big T-28. Everything looks stock for me. :D

Dunno, sounds like a pretty good reason right there... I've been contemplating a really nice looking $400 SMIC that PURE-Tuning has. BUT, my car is running pretty good on the stocker, and I don't really have the desire for more power, so I'll probably just save the money...
