I have a stock SMIC with hard piping. I'm about to buy a 16g, Evo 560s, and a 190. OFC I will also have Openport to tune and log. I don't know how much boost I can run or how much HP I'm going to be making but can someone tell me if this setup will heat soak the SMIC. Also maybe tell me how much boost I can run.

If you can log knock, turn up the boost until you start seeing knock counts, then turn it down a bit and you should be good to go. Keep an eye on that logger for knock though.

Sounds like your getting ready to start having some fun with your DSM, thats good to hear. :rocks:

Running that setup (don't forget to do the fuel pump rewire) on pump gas 18psi is good. You will most definitely heat soak that stock SMIC and be limiting the amount of boost you'll be able to run because the higher air temps will cause detonation. After you upgrade to a big Supra sidemount or get a FMIC installed 20 to 21psi can be ran safely with that turbo/injector/fp combo...

You might be able to get away with running 20lbs of boost with the stock SMIC but your going to be pushing A LOT of hot air.

:dsm:

Another quick question. I know I need a J pipe to fit the 16G to the stock rubber pipes but since mine are hard I can't manover them as well. Will I need something else to make the 16g fit the intercooler piping? Thanks again!

Edit: Got the 190 a few days ago. Now just to find the injectors and 16G. :p
