i live in jax fl. and im in a bind.

my friend has a turbo eclipse with

with good motor with no injectors, no interior, and
no title.

there is a dealership selling two talon AWD with no motor but race interior.(roll cage)
both have no title.

the friends car is being sold for 50 bucks and the
dealership is selling for 600(both).

i want a project but some thing that can be done quick.

which one should i get or do you think i should hold off for a while and find
one with a title thats cheap?

Umm Get one of each? Buy your friends for 50 bucks, and one of the dealership ones for 600. And either swap the interior from the dealership to your friends, or the motor from your friends to the dealership one. Then get injectors.

Well how can a dealership not have the title to a car??? But if you buy both that would be a deal...but you won't be able to drive it legally without it being register. No title no registration, no driving. And then you can buy a cheap dsm with blown engine and messed up exterior with title for cheap and then swap the dealers car and your freinds car parts into it. Then sell the left over to get some money back. in total you would spend 2-4k on the project car and for the swapping part will take some time and some extra $.


It is up to you if you are a DIY person or not. If you are going to let the shop do all the swapping and installation then wait for a cheap one with a title and runs. Otherwise it would be a great deal if your and a bunch of friends helps you swap over the motor and peices.

In most areas, you don't need a title for an older car. You just need to get the dealership to something?? Call your local Secretary of State office and ask them the policy.

the dealer said they could get a title remade for it so im not worried about the title with that one.

i thought i could just swap everything out but i cant use the front wheel drive tranny on the talon....so i need a awd tranny.

im gonna search the site to see if anyone is selling one in my area.

buy your friends if it has a 6bolt in it. and buy which ever car has the best body if you cant afford both you have no right owning a money pit like a dsm!
