Well after lots of thought and research I finally chose a set up. So I thought I'd share it with everyone in case someone wants to follow. All the parts have been ordered and within the next 2 weeks will be installed in the car.

Here is a list of what will directly related to the turbo upgrade:

Turbo related:

Forced Performance FP3065
FP oil lines and 90 deg elbow
Tial 44 mm External WG
FP O2 housing with WG O2 dump

Fuel related:

850 cc injectors
Walboro 255lph fuel pump
Aeromotive FPR

Intercooler related:

PWR 6x8 in liquid to air barrel intercooler kit with custom piping
PWR BOV

Electronic related:

DSMchip with EPROM ECU
AFC Neo
Boomslang plug and play harness for AFC Neo
AVC-R boost controller

Engine:

Stock for now, cams, valve springs, etc. in the future.

I'll start with a mild tune, pretty much getting max HP safely on the stock engine. Then after the engine is built, get a retune for more power.

With all that. I'm broke. There goes a good portion of my tax return, hahaha. It ain't cheep to go fast as they say. I was planning to get a new carpet and racing seats but that won't be happening for now.

I'll try to take pics of the install and give an assessment on the car once everything is set up.

I have had the AFC Neo for a while, I originally got it for my Evo but then sold the Evo and got the Talon. I've been in contact with Jeff from DSMchip. He'll be setting me up with a 91 octane map set up for 850 cc injectors. The AFC will just fine tune it. So yeah, the chip and AFC is not a bad setup and much cheaper in my situation. DSMlink is nice, but seriously, I am out of money, hahaha.

What will be interesting in this set up to most people is the liquid to air IC. It's not a common set up but after speaking to PWR and researching, it's efficiency should be much better than a large front mount with a 1/3 of the length of piping.

DRIVETRAIN!! You will definitely need to beef up your clutch to handle that kind of power, and depending on how far you want to go, your drivetrain can soon become your weak link.

What kind of power are you looking to make with the mild tune and stock internals?

Probably about 350whp. Then when I build the engine in the future probably around 450-475 whp.

justin_5585, when I bought the car, I believe the previous owner replaced the clutch with an aftermarket one. Anyhow, I'm not really into drag racing and won't be launching. However, again the future will probably be a new clutch and fly wheel.

The intercooler came in. I'm still waiting on the turbo. Here's a pic of the IC:

That car is gonna be a beast. I love the water to air intercoolers ya cant beat them for space and efficiency. I would love to see how you end up running the piping and all keep us updated!

I will for sure. Forced Performance said the turbo should be sent out in the next week. As far as IC routing, it'll be quite direct. 90 deg off the turbo to the left a couple inches and then diagonally up and a bend right to the intake manifold. We're estimating about 24-26 inches of total length including the IC itself. 3 inch piping the whole way. It came with a heat exchanger which will be mounted in place of the stock IC as they are similar dimensions.

Check out my super accurate technical schematic, hahaha

From the outside this car will be the definition of "sleeper". How can you take a turbo car seriously when you don't see a giant front mount? :thumb:
