I smell 8s coming out of your exhaust...

But i hope i dont smell crazy drive train problems too... Anything getting improved in that area?

Yes the car now has a shep dogbox in it along with a shep t-case and a 3.5" DSS aluminum driveshaft with DSS level 5 rear axles.
We put all of that in at the end of the 2007 season back in Oct.

Probably a dumb question but im curious. Are you pulling water straight from the radiator to feed that monster of a snail?

From your experience, proffesional opinion, do you think a DSS aluminum drive shaft is ok on a daily driven car... Any impressions of how your car felt before and after.
Maybe not be easy for you to answer that considering you havent been on the stock drive shaft for a while, did you used to run a carbon before that? ( Maybe that was Topstreet?)
Plus with as much power as you have youd likely not notice a "feel" difference huh LOL.

That thing sounds awesome! Would you be willing to at least tell me wqhat teh compression ratio and type of fuel it's running? It sounds like a cammed 1100 J kawasaki motor from my bike racing days :thumb:

Sure, it's nothing fancy, just 8.5:1 wiseco 1400hd compression pistons, and it runs on VP-import fuel.:thumb:

Forgive my lack of knowledge when it comes to racing classes etc... You're running nitrous right? Is this getting to be one of the fastest AWD DSMs? Again, I don't mean to offend if I have that wrong. Are you in the same class as Sheppard? I sure don't want that evil thing coming after me! Scary!

John Shepeard uses methanol fuel while Jake Mont. run gasoline still and the engines have
different pratices run on them where J here still has his coolant passages in use while shepeard does not.

You can tell that the aluminum driveshaft is there, but in all honestly I think it feels more solid to drive with it vs the stocker. But yes you can daily drive with this drive shaft no problems. And no I never ran a carbon driveshaft.

Wow that thing sounds incredible for only being 8.5:1 and running on race gas! The idle seems fierce, the exhaust pulses sound like there's a lot of force behind them. I was thinking methanol or nitro-methane for fuel, but i guess i'm wrong. Does it sound exactly like that in person or does the video change the pitch a little? Like i said, it just sounds like there's a ton of energy in the exhaust pulses, especailly for sitting at idle. You must be doing something right :thumb:

Your car is still one of my favorite DSMs, are you gonna run anytime soon in the portland area?

Yes what you heard in the video is exactly how it sounds in person, infact it sounds even crazier in person.:thumb:
