Car drives really smooth at lower speeds. But as soon as I get up around 60ish the car starts to shake. Maybe needs a tire balance?

Prob threw a wheel weight-it happens.

Or, a new set of tires for one could have gotten out of round.

Also, shocks can play into the shakes also.

Do you know how to to the shock test by grabbing on a corner of the car, lift that corner up and down a few times then let go..if you get more than one bounce after letting go, shocks (struts) are shot.

Could have some suspension work needed also - like control arms, tie rod, lower ball joint, and the similar.

You should take your car in to a shop and have them balance your tires and see if that solves the problem.

Sounds like what happened when I put green slime in the tires so I could make it home. Over 70 started to shake really bad, scared me.... But got new tires and a alignment and baam, back to new.

Alright sounds good. I was hoping it would be simple and not pricy!! You think that would happen even though I got low profile tires on?

Doesn't matter - tires full of air holding up all that weight, is going to get a flat spot.

Next time, if one is going to store a car like that, either raise the vehicle off the ground to get the weight off the tires, or take the tires off, fill them tight and store them laying on their sides.

Thanks to the previous owner. Ugh.
