I don't have the money to buy a new radiator right now...but i still need to drive my car. Does anyone know of anything i can use to temporarily fix a crack on the top of it?

The leak isn't too bad...i refill the resevoir about every 4-5 days. Someone told me to put an egg in the radiator to seal the crack...i don't think i want to do that.

thanks

that thing with the egg is true it was on myth busters

LOL! but would you really want an EGG in your radiator?

I've used JB Weld on my radiator before (about 5 months actually) to keep it under control until I could afford to fix it. Worked good for me. Use the kind that takes forever to cure because its stronger than JB Quik.

haha...i can't believe the thing about the egg is true...i don't think i want the egg in there even if it is...

i'll go with the jb weld...hopefully that do it for a while...i'm sick of having steam come out under the hood at stop lights...people are always staring...and it's not because my rides pimp.

Then again, you could wrap up some bacon in foil and wedge it on top of the manifold. Take a nice, spirited drive, then pull into a parking lot somewhere and pop the hood. You could be having bacon and eggs while you wait for the engine to cool down. MMmmMMMmm..... bacon and eggs.

:shrug Sorry. Couldn't resist. The egg thing works, though. :thumb:

I have a tiny rip on the top of the radiator as well. I used crazy glue and it worked better then plastic cement which I also tried. Better than nothing until I save up for a fluidyne, sucks being poor as I heard somewhere I'm so poor I can't afford to be broke. Sad part is that's true ha

well...that problem seems to be taken care of for now...

but now...while having the hood open and running the car...i noticed that my manifold has a really bad leak...i've known that it was cracked for a while...but now you can actually see exaust come out...

wtf!?...you think the egg will work in there? :sneaky:
