Ok Im getting rather worried. I did a ton of research on here only to find that alot of people dont like eibachs. I had a super hard time deciding what the heck spring to go with, and it all came down to my local vendor, I chose the tiens because they were easier for him to get and they were on sale. I didnt want more than a 1.5" drop. They are going on illuminas.
Anyways I saw a SPYDER converted to AWD, and his car has FWD springs and sags in the rear horribly. This has me worried about my FWD tein S Techs, but would this not be the case on a GSX compared to the spyder(spyder wieghs more)? From what I ve read AWD s with FWD teins or H&R OE s did not have a rear sagging problem. I figured that the lower spring rate would be compensated for by fully stiffening the rear shocks. So what do you all think? I was going by what I read on here that they'd be ok.

EDIT: the spyder converted AWD I saw had B&G springs, not Teins...

Spyders need AWD springs. I love H&R Race springs. Eibach pros on the Spyder are ok though, forget the sportlines.

Oh and the shock does nothing for holding up the car :)

Where did you find that people hate eibacks?? Sportlines are way low and blow out shocks, but the prokit is great.

You want to run the AWD springs or they will sag. Why you trying to run FWD springs in an AWD?

My brother has Tiens and they blew out his GR2 struts. Ive also read that Tiens have a lower spring rate than the stock springs.

I really dont know what I was thinking. I just kept reading bad things on the ebachs and thought I d try the teins. Alot of people seem to say the teins ride great, despite the low spring rate. As far as I know the tiens arent made for AWD, and I didnt have much other options for the drop I wanted.

The proper way to spell Tein is H-O-N-D-U-H.

They are made for both fwd and awd. Also, struts have a huge effect on how a car rides with a certain spring. So yes, the proper strut, spring combo is VERY important. GR-2's are garbage if your dropping a car, its a stock replacement.

GR2's are a good shock even if they are rated as a stock replacement. They only start to blow out when you drop the car more than 1.2". I have ran gr2's on my prokit eibacks for over 2 years now and they feel and handle great.
