when i bought my talon from the deil ford bargon lot i could tell right away that some one had been messing aroung in the engine bay. there is no balance shaft and the intake can has been cut up. it also has a jdm valve cover. on the turbo it says TDO5H and i was wondering if that ment it was the big 14b or the small 16g?

No such thing as a big 14b, and no one can tell you what kind of turbo it is just buy the TD05H

You can't tell unless you look directly at the compressor blades since both the 14B and 16G use the same housing.

Click on the image for a larger view. From left to right. 20g, 16g, 14b. The only way to tell a 16g from a 14b is to look at the blades on the compressor.

That's what I thought. Guess I lucked out on that one. Was going to buy a 14b to replace the stock turbo, until I noticed the TD05H on the turbo in the car

Any way I can tell it between a regular and big 16g
