Hey guys, new to the DSM world so I'm working out my issues as I go. I'll keep this short and sweet, I've got what I believe from running the serial numbers on the housings a small 16g, however the hotside of the turbo (cast iron) has a crack running through to the waste gate flap. I'm looking to replace the hotside, where's a good place to start?

Classified ads, if you can not find one, then move on to a vendor, such as ForcedPerformance. I have used a couple from Kinugawa turbo, evo3 style 7cm housing, they are exactly like the OEM one, havent had a problem or cracking yet.

As long as the flapper seats flat and you can't see any gaps in the cracks, it's fine to use.

Well the cracks on both sides of the flap arent severe. However, the crack inside the housing is a little bit more substantial and runs the length of the housing from the manifold flange inside to the flap before splitting into 2 cracks on either side.

78-11830 is the number on the housing
