I have recently acquired a TD04 turbo off of a 91 Talon TSi. I got basically for free so I am at no loss......yet. This turbo has suffered some damage. 1 the intake side impeller wheel is damaged (like a rock was sucked in there). 2 the shaft is bent. 3 the bearings need to be replaced. The wheel has scratched the housing a little bit. I am sure a slight port and polish job will take care of it, as its not that bad. SOOO my questions to you guys are:
1 Where can I find both the shaft/compressor side wheel and the intake wheels?
2 What are the specs of this turbo?
3 Where are the cheapest places to get the rebuild kits? Online.

This is going on a 98 Chevy S-10 so I will not be upgrading to a larger/better turbo.

THANKS! :thumb:

With the amount of parts you list as broken, you are way better just paying for a "working" turbo. Though rebuild kits run ~$80 (eBay) to $150, they do not include the compressor wheel or shaft/turbine wheel which would likely run you several hundred dollars more + machining + balancing the whole rotating assembly.

It's likely you have the TD04-13G from a 1G automatic which is smaller than the 14B (~250HP vs 300HP potential). There are tons of decent used 14Bs out there for $100-200 :dsm:
