Well I have a 1g TB and the clip of a sensor broke off

I have an extra 2g TB around some where, will the 2g TB sensor work on the 1g? Thanks

Nope. The 2g does not have this sensor, as it's built into the TPS sensor (notice the 4 pin 2g TPS vs. the 3 pin 1g TPS). This is why when you swap a 1g tb into a 2g you should keep the 2g TPS.

This sensor does need to stay in the throttle body however as it also acts as a throttle plate stop. It should be adjusted (threaded in just far enough) that the throttle plate doesn't stick when slamming shut from WOT, but not too far in that it keeps the throttle plate open.
