Still trying to diagnose this issue with the car dying with the a/c on. Replaced the IAC motor with a new one, just bought the car and the one that came off it was for a Mirage. Helped for sure but didn't resolve the problem. So I took off the throttle body and EGR valve for a good cleaning. Both we're pretty dirty, used two large shop size cans of cleaner to clean them. EGR seemed to be working properly, not exactly sure how to test it but the diaphram looked good and created suction when depressed. Put everything back together with brand new gaskets, went to start it up, and its worlds better then before. Before the base idle would have to be set at Luke 2k to keep even keep the car running with the a/c on and when it kicked in it would drop the idle down all the way to 600. Now I can set it right at 1000-1100 and it'll stay at a constant 800 with the a/c on. BUT it seems like I can hear a fairly large suction coming right at the TB. Didn't have it before and doesn't seem normal but maybe it is and I just had a severely dirty TB? Sounds like a vacuum leak, like the gasket were blown but its a brand new gasket. Can y'all hear suction standing over the engine bay from the TB?
. The idle now is great, with and without the a/c on. Now, though, I was gunna adjust the BISSS due to the better idle but I can screw it all the way seated and the idle is still 1100 or so. Like I said im new to these cars, learning as I go, so does that mean the BISSS is leaking?
