TB Gasket Question

Well I found a boost leak at my throttle body gaskets. Not really sure which one it is, so I bought a replacement for both. Anyways, I was curious if it is really necessary to use any kind of sealant (RTV) on the gaskets? Thanks!

it's not necessary, but a very thin layer wouldn't hurt.

The factory gaskets have a printed sealer on it. I wouldn't use any extra.
The last thing you want it for some loose RTV to wind up in a metering passage.
