TB question

I'm pretty sure this got brought up before but I tried doing a search but found a few threads close but not quite what I was asking.

I went to a nearby pull-a-part because they had a couple of 1g cars there, I didn't know weather they were N/T cars or turbo cars. Which when I got there they had three and all N/T cars

I got the TB's off of two of them as spares not thinking they had the intake pipe flange on the casting.

My question is can I use a N/T TB on a turbo car because the turbo TB I have is a 2g model (smaller bore) ? I'll just have to get another silicone elbow to make up for the metal elbow

Yes, you can use an N/T (or N/T style, such as the Evo III) throttle body on a turbo car.

I appreciate the quick reply, I know that was a real noob question, but the question not asked is the stupid one in my opinion.

The non turbo tb uses a coupler and not a elbow. You can get a 90 coupler to take place. With the other 1g, you can get a 2g elbow since it is better flowing. I would have one rebuilt just for the piece of mind.

I would reccomend you rebuild it with new shaft seals at least and use your 4 pin 2g TPS.

I was planning on rebuilding it before I install it, where would be the best place to get the seals from? I'm also planning on using a FIAV Bypass Plate from FFWD connection to eliminate the need for the coolant lines.

I would leave the fiav on. I think that's what's best and you can have it rebuild from Snowborder714
