Tapping Noise ?

There is a tapping noise from my car that has gotten to the point where I get pretty annoyed. It's not really loud but its noticeable. I dont know where its coming from though...maybe it could be the valves tapping, so far that is my only guess, and since it has been raining for days I havent gotten a chance to look for myself. What are some other things that could be causing this noise?

Its most likely lifter tick, thats normal. If it isnt then my bad.

yep lifter tick. You need revised lifters, my car does the same I just dont know if it is bad to drive the car that way. Anyone know if we are doing any harm if we dont fix it right away?

Lifter tick should be harmless so long as it doesn't get really loud. It's just the tensioners leaking a bit more oil than they should before going solid. It'll prevent a burned valve.
