The idea of this build is a very quick spooling turbo with a big emphasis on low-end torque, with a suspension setup that picks up some of the slack left by the understeering stock setup. I plan to take this to autocross events and the drag strip maybe once every two weeks but its duties will be mainly as a summer daily driver. To keep this car fun on the streets, low-end torque and decent cornering ability are musts, so a 2.3L stroker fit the bill perfectly, with Koni shocks and Ground Control Coilovers at the corners. Reliability is also something I'm looking for so I chose OE pumps, pulleys, belts and gaskets.
What I'm most excited about is the cumulation of all the parts, specifically the 100mm crankshaft for increased displacement, the Cyclone intake manifold, and the divided manifold with the stock divided holset housing.
I only get to work on this during the weekends, but here is a shot of the cylinder block and head after I picked them up from the machine shop.


I was able to put together the bottom of the shortblock, with the 100mm forged Eagle crank, Kiggly main girdle, and ARP main studs. With the mains torqued to spec, I get around 0.0018"-0.0024" oil clearance.

The rotating assembly consists of the Eagle crank, Manley H-beam rods, and Mahle 4032 stroker pistons.

The block was bored and honed for a piston-to-wall clearance of 0.0028"-0.0031". A little bit looser than Mahle's spec for these pistons, but with my goals, I figured an extra .0004"-.0007" would be okay.
