Talon home now, but issues

Ok some of you know my other thread on my smoking issue and no get up and go. Well the car has been sitting since October of 2008, and I just got it today. It smokes really bad and has no get up and go. It doesnt build boost even on just drives, unless you step into even more so it downshifts, even then you still have to romp on it. I was told that a headgasket would make the car smoke, and also blown turbo seal. Well the car dont over heat and runs just below half way, even on highway at steady 70 mph for 12 miles. The compression was supposivly checked by the last guy interested in buying it, JUST before I got it, and it was good. The motor runs really well and sounds great, but smokes embarassing.

I have already bought

Valve Cover Gasket
PCV valve
Plugs
Wires
New Battary

Oil leaks all over the fuel rail and rest all over the intake mani. It dont seem to loose collant or over heat. Any help

I would hate to buy a whole new turbo and still have smoking issues, but my turbo intake pipe is also caked in black oil

I is a good chance that you will need a turbo. It would explain all the smpke and lack of power. When the turbo gets hosed, contact will happen internally. This could be why you get a little turbo action with a huge change in air movement. The car will drive fine with no turbo. Just a low compression dog. Tres...

It could be the turbo but you should still do a compression test. the tools aren't that expensive . i won't take anybodys word for it . always check for yourself then you know for sure.

I'm sure it also needs a good tune-up/maintenance since it's been sitting for so long. Are you sure the turbo is blown? Have you checked the turbo for shaft play? What color is the smoke? There are several reasons why these cars would smoke and not boost. If you car is running too rich, it will smoke as well. If you have oil on the fuel rail, a new VC gasket torqued right should fix that.

Oil in your intake pipe could also be from the hose coming from your valve cover. Your intercooler probably has a lot of oil in it too.

This may be possible later Saturday. I have to finish up some work I've been doing to mine.

It's definitely burning oil somehow, if the smoke is blue. The turbo may be bad. It can still be checked though.

can you help me with a compression test. This car has all kinds of stuff everywhere, we need to track down. It needs to be cleaned up so we can work on it. Alarms and all kind of "extra" wires and hoses need to go, but I dont know which ones

I have yet to do my first compression test. Harbor Freight on Appalachee sells $10 compression testers.

It seems like you have a lot of cleaning up to do. All of the hoses are probably necessary but, all of the wires may not be.
