When I came over to help you you didnt even know how to take your head off or pull an axle out ect. so how are you going to help someone else ?

I don't know what would prompt you to start that with me.

My car is pretty reliable now, and runs strong.
By no means have I gone as far as you Andy. Due to being 17 and not being able to go to an extensive build, but I wouldn't expect you to say something along those lines.

The block is built, the head is now ported and polished, running 20psi on a FP 16g.
That was nearly a year ago that you saw me last. And apparently haven't heard about anything going on now.

I do know my stuff now.

well guys i found a 91 TSi AWD and the guy said the engine overheated but wont run but does turn over. he wants $500 for the rollin shell that i gotta tow over here. any idea what it could be? i'm go buy it this weekend and start working on that and sell the red one for $800. what yall think?

^^hahah...well if you do your headlights and hood all black gloss it will look good with your spoiler. its what i was planning on doing! but i'll see cause as of right now now no body wants to buy the red one. it sucks so i might just have to hold off on buying the white one.

hey Benr33tz, once i get this other talon over here will you help me tear it appart so i can swap blocks and heads? my goal is to just have the AWD running and part out the red one. im gonna put in some ARPs in the AWD and drop i stage 2 clutch in. its gonna be a weekend project.

What's wrong with your block or head?

Make sure you look up the order to trq everything down, and don't warp/scratch them at all.

well the kid that im gettin the AWD TSi from said he overheated his engine and it wont start. But befor it overheated he said he smoked a little, so im guessing the rings were going. my block assembly is perfectly fine in my fwd so i needa put his head on my block and do the timing. my head in the FWD is fvcked cause it jumped timing and im sure the valves are bent because it wont start. I'll be taking it apart once this rain stops for enough time.

Well don't go that crazy yet.

It sounds like it blew a head gasket from those terms, as for starting i'd have to know more; which sounds like you may be correct.

Pull the head off, you'll know what happend. Check the cyl walls and pull the oil pan and check for any metal.. Otherwise i'd keep the block you have and rebuild that while you beat on the one in the other car.

Yeah Im just in Puyallup and have seen a few DSM's but not a lot. But Im usually with the Evo guys since I know a lot of them .

haha kid 4g63 are you close to spanaway i see your postings on CL all the time. if so i call u bout a 4 bolt rear awhile back but found out it was my cv axel and not the rear. but im in THE JACKSTAND crew right now waiting to find a good 16g for a good price and a new header..oh yea im running opendown pipe now ricky

Blaze, you might just cheap out on a 16g for the time being. Until you can find a good one, or new.


I'm telling you, the 16g that david has is a GOOD one. I just played with it last night and has NO shaft play at all.

WHATS UP ALL!! I'm out in Gig Harbor but when I'm not at home I am always somewhere in Tacoma on a daily basis

I would be down to meet up anywhere in the area, I dont like doing the krispy cream scene to much, for aparent reasons if you catch what i'm getting at ( fuzz ) they dont seem to like my car to much, I cant really think of reason why...... but anyway if anyone has any sugestions you can #### me in...

well for the most part it just makes way to much noise, and my driving record sucks and i have legal aftermarket lights but its unique looking i guess

no i went the cheap route when decided to redo my Ehxaust. i wanted a 2.5 catback for 300$ and thats pretty much what i got. just a canister and standard cheap steel 2.5 and no resinator. i need to redo it again. the canister doesnt have a silencer. its a dubble wall design witch makes for a more crackly raspy sound. its kinda cool but i have ben driving on for well over a year and its gotten way old....
