Hey bud, I live in Tacoma also. If you are talking about this Monday(May 4th ) I might stop by just to meet a fellow dsmr. Where in Tacoma you live?:D

Yeah there was one other one when I went a couple weeks ago. The few times I've been there I usually get laughed at cause im the only one.. oh well, my little 16g turbo is just a little ball a fury with all the eg's and ek's :thumb:
 
Im in Port Orchard at the moment, but work near parkland at Franklin Pierce School District. I didn't know there were many of us up here :D

I love my 91 GSX......can't wait to get it in tip top shape.

Wish I could! I still don't have the car tabbed. It had been sitting for almost 2 years due to some personal issues. It needs tabs, and I need to get the title still :| and fix a few issues before I'll drive it for a long ish distance. The radiator has a crack in the top casing, and the shifter linkage is all sorts of screwy. I am going to be fixing both, HOPEFULLY today.

I am stoked to see a few people close by though, and will hopefully be able to meet some of you guys later on and learn more about these cars!

Te meet at the park and ride is 2 minutes and litterally 3 blocks from the shop! I had no ide people met at that park and ride. I'll either swing by to meet some of you or, people swing by here.

It's too close not to meet some people!

I just did a compression test on my car and I have 150 150 130 140.....burning oil again....yay.

Not complete crap but not good.......I've never rebuilt one of these things, and im not sure what it entails. Wish I could chill with you guys, but looks like it may be a pipe dream now.

Don't feel so bad , thats how everyone starts , with a pipe dream you just have to work it one step at a time. At least thats how I did it. I"ve my car for three years and barely have running now. Thats why it is call a project.;)
 
Oh don't I know it ;)

Its just really hard. I have 2 kids and a wife to support and no money. So I get frustrated easily. I'm still hoping that a wet test comes back negative and its valve seals. That'll be cheaper :thumb:

I just sold my 98 GSX to someone in Tacoma. Hope you guys see it around, I babied it for the 9 years I had it, it's in excellent condition.

I'm with you, I also have a wife and two kids. With no money, the only spare money I get is when I do some work of my own.

Have you tried the junk yard. I believe the one on Spanaway has a 1g turbo. Also try the ones in Kent. Oh you know what, this guy might be able to help you give him a call, he lives in Tacoma. David 253 241 5136. He usually has a lot of stuff laying around.
 
I live on Ft. Lewis. But I currently finishing my 15 deployment to Iraq and will be in that area around the first week in July. LOL, didn't get to get out much when I moved from my station in S. Korea before I got to Ft. Lewis and deployed. But really looking forward to meeting some of you hopefully before I go to New Mexico in Jan. :thumb:

By chance was there anyone on here at krispy kreme last night? I met a bunch of dsm and evo guys there last night. Most were from Tacoma I believe. One guy had a very built 2g gsx silver with a black front bumper. I've never seen so many mitsus there before. I was in my red laser WI plates.
 
saw a red 1g on meridian and later on, on 112th.. I waved but don't think they saw!
