Even with the stock 450cc injectors?

Your stock injectors will probally run out at 16-17Psi ( thats as far as I could push mine ) Start at like 15psi and turn it up slowly and watch your timing curve. Keep going up untill you see dips and then back it down a little. I would leave it at 15psi until you have access to a logger. Better safe than sorry!:thumb:

That's sage advice. Just remember that when referencing a logger to look for knock, 1 degree of timing pull is 10 counts (fairly significant but not life threatening). Ultimately, you want a smooth curve with no dips and a solid peak. Also keep an eye out in the midrange where timing seems to stick in one spot and then go down or up. The 2G ECU will hold timing at 7 counts and this would indicate that either more fuel needs to be added or boost needs to be reduced.

Hope that helps,

Andy

No, no, but in order to tune the T28 to where it's meant to run there's gonna have to be some fuel upgrades. I think Hottboost is pretty much on the money. 16-17 is probably gonna be plenty for the 450s. But once you get some larger injectors and something to tune with, that FMIC will make a pretty substantial difference on what boost could/should be run.

Rather than start another thread on this, I wanted to add my input and see if anyone has pushed their T28 variants any further.

I am currently running 21 psi and tuning out my minimal knock. Basically I'm looking for the point where I'll see diminishing returns or less performance. I'm still working on 21 psi to make sure it's safe, as full boost kicks in almost violently now and I don't want to break something.

I was previously running 19 psi, peak timing of 23, no knock that I could detect. You can see my logs here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245101

I found this table that shows the airflow ratings for most turbos if anyone is interested. I have a ported AGP Big T28 which is rated 36 lbs/min. So if some of you were seeing 30 lbs at 20 psi or so, you should have some room left. Has anyone maxed their T28 with supporting mods that can do so?
