Ok so ive got the cash to get a Evo3 16g but ive also got a 1g tsi that i can take the 14b off of and get other stuff for my car. With that being said what kinda performance can i expect out of the 14b over the T25 with the mods i have right now. Also if i decided to wait to get the evo3 and just put the 14b on then i could get my FMIC and all the Fuel upgrades. What can i look to get maximum out of a 14b with my mods plus a FMIC, 190 pump, 550's and SAFCII? Im thinking right now i might be better off with the 14b for a little while since i already have one i can use and could put the money i have now towards all the stuff ill really need later for a much larger turbo like the evo3 or a 20g, but use them with the 14b for now.

Your choice. evo 3 flows a tad more but if you spend the money on that, then you wont have as much money left over to cover fuel mods.

I'd suggest you to stick with the 14b turbo...seems like no one appreciates its because its little...but you can get good power out of it...I ran a 12.6 with a 14b unported turbo @ 20psi on 91 octane with a little street tune. The 14b is way superior to the t25...and it spools fast as heck. Save you money for fuel mods...I was running 780cc injectors with the 14b. The 14b is gone now, replaced with a gt30r, but for the time I had it on it was fun!

I love my 14b with my mods. It is a great turbo to hold you over while you get the supporting mods to get the most out of your car. Id say right now you can get more power out of a 14b with supporting mods than a EvoIII with the mods you currently have. I dont have experience with the EvoIII though to back my words so i could be wrong.

From my reading the 14b flows about 10-15% more air than the T25 which equates to more horsepower. The other benefit is that the stock injectors should take you pretty far with the 14b, though you will need to rewire the stock 2G fuel pump as it is the weak link... but the rewire will support up to 550cc injectors.... 140 lph (rewired 14V output according to RRE) divided by 0.24 (conversion from lph to cc/min).

To fully make use of the 14b however, you will want 550cc injectors and the fuel pump rewire.

Do the 14b for now and get the other fuel mods if you want to take it up a notch later. But thats what I would do.

ok so i think im gonna get the install kit and just put my 14b on. Im also gonna go ahead and get the 190 pump, SAFCII, SSAC FMIC, and should i get 550s or 650s? I already have the stock pump rewired but i figure whikle ive got the cash and will need it later i may as well get the pump now. I can get a SAFCII, 190, and 550's for $559 from Extreme PSI. will i just need a 14b install kit to make it work?

I ran a 14b on my 2g with just a 255 fuel pump, afc, clutch and flywheel and i dynoed at 239 awhp at 20 psi and ran the car once and got a 13.6@100.

100% worth the swap over the t25.
