i have a 14b on right now but its shot, looking for a 16g but a guy im buying parts from offererd me the T25. I dont know much about the T25 is it a good upgrade is it even an upgrade? can it fit on the same setup as the 14b did? I dont have the time to look it up at the moment, but he wants 150 for the turbo wit wastegate mod(spring to hlod the 14psi to redline, dont know if thats right either), o2 dump, braided lines an gasket it has 54k on it. Any input would be appreciated thanks in advance

The T25 is a worthless turbo that came on the 2g's stock that many call "the hair dryer." It's only efficient up to 16psi tops and can't hold boost til redline. The 14b is an upgrade which was done on you're car which came from a stock M/T 1g. The T25 and 14b can't be swapped out without buying a kit. So buy another 14b or even a 16g. 16g's are usually in the $250 range for a good condition used one and 14b's in the $100 range.

The t25 is the turbo that comes factory on these cars, going from 16g to a t25 is a downgrade in itself, and for 150 it's not worth it, you can get for under 100 a used 14b. If you look around some more you could find a cheap t25 turbo for the meantime in the 50-70 area and you will need water lines for the 2g and a stainless oil feed line kit assuming that turbo might have the oem feed line hacked.
