I have a 98 eclipse GST Spyder with stock fuel system stock T25 turbo and stock SMIC and i upgraded with a boost gauge and MBC and i removed the BCS. i have no loggers or anything to check the flow of my injectors or knock i am working on getting one though. i was wondering what would be the most boost i can run before doing damage or reaching fuel cut?

i also have a HKS TI-Carbon 3" Cat-back system. but everything else is stock including the piping and 2g BOV but i am getting a 1G BOV sunday. i have the option of a 1G uncrushed or a crushed one both for 30 bucks. should i get it will that help with the boost?

I have tuned many cars, not dsms but still many cars. Every car is different even the same make, model and mod cars. You should always know if your causing knock or damage. Just becasue so and sos GST with the stock turbo and intercooler can run 18psi with no problems doesnt mean your will. Just remember that

What you want to hear: 15psi

What you NEED to hear: The T25 is out of it's efficiency range at a pretty low boost level, like 17-ish, so anything above that, even with a fmic, is just taxing the turbo. You ought to rewire your fuel pump (search here, it's a very common early mod) to make sure you have a decent amount of fuel flow. Don't boost above 15psi without a logger at minimum...a wideband o2 setup ought to be an early "mod" as well. These are all very inexpensive compared to a rebuild.

yah i searched for stock boost for t25 but i could not find anything similar to my setup i read that one but he has a diff setup. sry for the ignorance

what was that link for the rewire of the pump and should i get a walbro 255lhp since i will be getting a 16G in the near future?

also, if your going to be running more boost, it wouldn't hurt to look into some 600cc injectors, and a FMIC. (front mount intercooler)

if i do the fuel pump rewire is it going to benefit me with anything now before i do a fuel pump upgrade? or can i not even do the rewire with my stock fuel pump? but if it wont hurt anything ill do it no and get it out of the way it dosent seem that hard

Dont run above 15 psi for as stated above, the turbo runs out of its efficient range any thing beyond that. As for the BOV's, I would get the uncrushed ones, seing as you dont need a crushed one with your mods, and who knows if he crushed it too much. For the fuel pump rewire, yes do it now. It's not so much that it will benefit you now, but more as a safety precaution when you start upping the boost.

Definately recommended to do the fuel pump rewire. I was running a stock system, and used a high flo catback, new intake, and MBC, and needed to do the rewire because the factory wiring used on these fuel pumps is not what it should be. The gauge of wire used is too small limiting the amount of power your fuel pump receives. After the rewire, I noticed a conciderable difference. No more lag at full throttle. Good luck.

okay thanks and then when i put the 255lhp in with a fuel regulator i dont have to do anything else am i correct?

Def get some injectors, you can max out your stock inj with a 16g and then you will run lean and hot and burn up you shit

yah im getting a 16g down the road but i just wanted to know what boost i could run with my setup and if i can go ahead and do the fuel pump rewire just to get ready for the 16g but still run my stock pump until i buy one. thxs for all your imput i think i will run at 13-14 psi just to be safe

Yes you can do the fuel pump rewire without a problem.
