Kitchener,
Im going to put on a fmic the its 4''thick4 feet wide and and 2 feet tall, i have done a fuel pump rewire and other basic stuff ngk spark plugs and othet things like that, stock everything else, 14b turbo , so how much boost can I run with that set up?

:notgood: Search button will tell you. I doubt anyone here will touch your Question with a 10 foot pole... WTF

the only thing the intercooler will do is make the intake tract more dense. i would keep at stock boost levels until you get some larger injectors, and some sort of management. you will get a horsepower increase with the upgraded front mount.

I agree with what has been said. You need some fuel management. 4ft wide. That things enormous.I'd say your spool will suffer slightly.

4ft wide x 2ft tall? Sorry, it's not gonna fit! Some of the most common intercoolers I've seen are about 32" x 12" and even then you have to hack some stuff up. That's not even three feet wide. Get some bigger injectors, wideband, and a way to control those injectors. Then see what your logger and wideband say to the amount of boost you can run!! Rule of all rules, Every car is different. No one here is going to be able to tell you the amount of boost you can run on your car. They are all going to tell you to stay around 15psi until you have the proper mods to do otherwise. And no, it doesn't really matter that you have an eprom ecu or not. That just gives you the chance to do better things in the future. :nono:

Well since were in imaginary land where 4 ft intercoolers fit I suppose about 180 psi oughta be fine.

Ok, I don't want to be a jerk but people on here need to get over boost pressure. Boost pressure is not a good way to have a "dick measuring contest" it is more irrelavant than 80% of the members on this board realize. Lets talk about pounds per minute when you don't want to impress people on the internet and you want to do it at the race track.

Exactly. Ya i can crank my boost up to 25 pounds and it will run. But do i have a tune for it? No. Its gonna be slower than if i ran 15 which i had a tune for just because it will pull timing and all things like that. Get it all set up and slowly increase the boost and make sure your knock is down.
