i have all the necesary upgrades for a bigger turbo
i have plans for hks 264/272
my revs do not exceed 7.5krpm

what will be the best street turbo
t04e 50trim
t04e 57trim

i did read the compressor flow maps but i am a lil confused
i plan to boost around 21-23psi

anyone knows how soon does the 50trim and 57trim spool up

and which turbine housing will be suitable
t3 0.48 or the t3 0.63

thank you

I've ran both the to4e 50 trim .63, and the to4e 57 trim .63, and I'll have to agree with 99gstracer. I loved the 50 trim. When it went out on me, I ended up getting the 57 trim, which I felt put out a little less power, even tuned a little better. Overall, I think you'll be happier with the 50 trim.

Have to agree with the others, always liked the 50 trim comp map better then the 57 trim & have heard guys complain of surge with the 57 trim. I'd be going with the .63 AR turbine housing as well, for better top end potential. The smaller .48AR will give you abit better spool but will limit the top end, the 50 trim isn't what I'd consider a "laggy" turbo, so go with the .63 to get the most out of it.

You should go with the 50 trim. not only do all of us here tell you. But, from personal experience, it will spool to full boost at around 3800 rpm. In 5th gear and floored I see 15 psi at 3k rpm. It makes the 3-4k rpm band a real treat - no boost yet ready to spool any sec. After 4k rpm, its hold on to your seat power. With Cams, you will have one fast ride. Oh yes, the .63 is the way to go. This is what I got.

50 trim 100%. Nobody likes surging with the higher trimmed turbo. If you want your compressor inducer to be that big, it should be mated properly with the exducer, not even mentioning the hot side.

My other car is a 1993 mr2 turbo and I actually sold my .63 a/R 57 trim for a .48 50 trim and the difference is night and day. I did not notice any decrease in power but the spool up and torque are far better than the 57 trim ever was. Go with a 50 trim and 63 a/r which will give you more power and lower boost levels, and leaves room for more boost with not much choke up later on down the road.....:thumb: Btw this is the 14-15psi level on my mr2..
