Ok Guys tha clutch is new like 300 miles and car grinds everytime in to second unless a really go in slow, Also down shifting to first it grinds also.. Could the cluch or pedal just need adjustment or are the syncros gone, Car has 178k on her.. Syncros cost?? Thank you in advance.

Are you talking about your VR-4? Or the 2G in the pic? Either way 178k is a bit for a transmission. You may have worn synchros but try bleeding and adjusting your clutch first.

No its the VR4, I have not had a chance to get pics of her yet. Just got it.. :).. But I was think a clutch adjustment cause the clutch was just installed. Will get ppics of the VR4 this weekend..

Ive been building Transmissions for awhile now. Most likely your clutch is not fully disengaging. But if that isnt the problem it could be the shift fork. It could be bent causing it not to go into gear right away or its worn out of spec causing it to not be pushed on the syncro ring all the way. Check the tranny fluid. If its gold tented more than likely you will need a rebuild.

Because I always like looking at the dark end of things what would a rebuild cost?

it depends on who does it. A big well know shop will cost alot. But they without a doubt know what they are doing.

This is what happens after seventy-thousand miles of being driven by people who believe double-clutching a synchromesh transmission is "a waste of time".

You should never be "downshifting" into first. It's only a starting gear.

Yes, your transmission probably needs a rebuild, but the bleed situation on your clutch system is also a suspect. It's one of those things difficult to diagnose by mail.

You might try some Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid and see if it helps any.

Yep, engaging into first gear is only to start to drive. But anyway, it looks that not synchros are bad, because is it very low possibility that all synchros will die at one time. Usually dies one or two gears, second gear is which dies more often. Like others said, check everything with clutch first.

I do not know prices in the US, in Europe to rebuild gearbox in good service will cost 200$ for work and plus parts, depends what needs to be changed 300$-1000$.

How old and what is the condition of your tranny fluid? Any metal in it?

What type of tranny fluid do you use? Most gear oils in the auto parts stores are GL-5 which contain sulfur and are corrosive to yellow metals. (Brass synchros)

Use only a GL-4 fluid. My tranny gets a mixture of 2qt Redline MT-90 and 3/4 qt blend of Lightweight Shockproof & BG synchro shift II. (I'm kind of over-the-top :D)
