First question, I forgot to undo the negative battery cable before unplugging my ECU did I cause any damage or is that done mainly for safety?

The second questions is I didn't install the SAFC, but from what I understand the only wire I need to redo is the MAS to the SAFC and change it back to directly the ECU. Now on the guide said that this was a yellow and white wire, but both of them are dead wires on my car as the pic shows, but I know the SAFC still worked. The brown wire in the picture is connected to Pin 90 (VFAQ said that was the MAS signal for the ECU) and the brown and gray wire near my finger both go back to the SAFC. The orange wire that all three are connected to goes to my Zeitronix wideband. Now what should I do in order to set myself up for DSMlink. Thanks for any help.

dsmlink requires no wire splicing to work properly. disconnect wires that are coming from your afc and into your ecu( the only ones spliced into your harness). your ecu should look the way it did when it left the factory, after your done. and no you did not ruin your ecu.

I thought the MAS sensor had to be piggy backed for the SAFC so I would have to rewire the order from MAS-SAFC-ECU to MAS-ECU and I didn't know which wires to mess with since they are not colored the same as the VFAQ.
