So I have some Megan Racing lowering springs on my car at the moment but I believe my stock rear struts have finally about had all they can take. So I was thinking, replace the struts with some Koni Yellows, but down the road in the near future, I wanna swap my wheel and tire combo and throw on some 17x9 inch wheels and I don't think the Koni's will work with the 9 inch wide wheels.

Was thinking of going with some Megan Racing coilovers such as these and eliminate the whole clearance issue. But can't really seem to find much on these other than maybe a "few" threads about Megan's EZ Street coilovers.

I've read the Koni's and GC's are a good combo but how does that work with a stock diameter spring seat? Or is it not the same diameter as stock? Not sure how that combo bolts up together to work. I'm happy with the ride height of my Megan lowering springs and would gladly just throw on some Koni Yellow's if the 9 inch wide wheels would fit.

Anyway, not much of a suspension guy. Appreciate any input from those that have more experience in this area than I do....obviously. Just not finding the info I need by searching. Thanks.

Konis will be fine with 9" wide wheels. Shocks have very little to do at all with how your wheels fit. It mostly depends on your spring rates/how much you've rolled your fenders/your actual wheel offset/how much tire you're running.

You will be wasting your money on Megan coil overs, despite what almost every other guy on this site will try to tell you, unless you have zero aspirations for competitive handling.

I highly suggest piecing together the "DG Koni" setup that is referenced multiple times on this site. It's pretty much the bar none best setup for less than 2000 dollars, and is even better than a lot of other suspensions. You can also do it piece meal via just buying shocks, and upgrading to coilovers + upper mounts (which area the place where the other coilovers skimp on), but lowering springs typically have too soft spring rates for how much they lower (I have no idea what megan spring rates are, I'm going to gander they're not very stiff).

Good luck.
