Surface rust in the combustion chamber

A week ago I took off my cylinder head for a rebuild because my valve seal stems were worn out,today when I was ready to get head on,I notice light surface rust in the combustion chamber,is that normal for having my car parked in my backyard covered with no cylinder head on?

Just a little moisture from underneath the cover and if the temp's are right oxidation will occur. Spray a little carb cleaner on to the surface and it'll wash off.

That oxidation won't harm anything
