Hey guys I have a 2g 98 gst spyder with 4g63t current mods are evo3 turbo, fp mani, turbo back 3". I want to push more boost there for bigger injectors right? so my question to u guys is what would be a good size so I wont have to mess with them again and also what supporting mods would bigger injectors call for and would I need a wideband as well? any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated, thanks guys!!.....2g for life!!!

well, it depends on what you may go up too later on, and your budget

id say upwards of 1000cc injectors (PTE, FIC, ID, RC etc) if you dont wanna mess with them anytime soon, a fuel pump w/ rewire (walbro, aeromotive, deatschworks, bosch etc), and an AFPR (aeromotive, fuel lab, etc). you could do lines, but depending on HP desired, it may not be necessary. keltalon just broke 800whp with -6an lines, and he was quite up there on stock lines.

a wideband is always a good idea, and you will also need a way to tune at this point to take advantage of your package. ECM/DSMlink is a popular option and theres tons of support on here for it.

so how does this sound, PTE 1000cc injectors fueled by a AEM high flow fuel rail regulated by a MAP AFPR with braided steel line powered by a rewired Walbro 225lph fuel pump?? and how soon would I have to get it tuned after these modifications would I be in any danger of running to rich and damaging the engine? an last thing ive heard with the black box ecu I shouldn't need dsm link or would it be needed? sorry bout all the questions still learning...ps what the difference between high an low impedance

Injectors that size you need a tune right away before you can even run it. You need to ge the flow right or they will just dump gas in. Black Box ecus can be tuned by evoscan so no you dont need dsm link.. this is what i have learned in the past day on this site LOL. Can someone else concur?? IF you find a good tuner, please do let me know! Im going the same route as you but Im gonna go with the FP green turbo. I love fp turbos, they have never let me down.

Yes, the 1000cc injectors ull need a tune right away. Otherwise you'll run pig rich.

Yes you can flash the black box with Evo/ecuscan. Ull need a tactrix cable, laptop and the evoscan program, plus someone to tune for you if u don't know how yet. In the tech section on here theres a sub-forum dealing with that type of tuning.

I wouldn't bother with the aem rail, the stock one is fine. Everything else should be OK

1000's will leave you plenty of room for future upgrades, but none of that matters if you don't get a tunable ECU set up of some kind. You also need to look beyond these things. You will most likely need to upgrade ur cooling system to handle the extra heat ur making. Also ur drive train. At a minimum u will need a better clutch.

Does anyone know where i can get the program? And it DOES allow 2 step feature?? does 2 stepping affect your clutch any?

Yes I have Black box ECU on one of my DSM and it allows 2 step.

Launching does affect your clutch life all depends how much power you put on it and how much you slip but it's fun and good clutches can go through multiple 2 step launches :)

I forgot to add you will need ceddy mod on http://ceddy.us/ and Tactrix openport 2.0

Make sure to get the 255hp not the 255lph. The hp can handle higher pressure and take more abuse! They flow similar at base idle pressures, but the lph flow drops off much faster than the hp when making boost.

Yes you can use 2 step with it. As far as getting the program, id look at evoflash.com. it might cost a couple bux.

A better clutch wouldn't hurt, but with your current components and fuel upgrades, everything else should be OK for the moment, unless you rail your car like a whipped mule 24-7. And don't drive like a jerk

2 step doesn't directly affect your clutch, but it will affect your launch, which affects your clutch. What precisely are u wanting 2 step for?

Thanks for all the responses guys an all the feed back helped a lot I for got to mention I replaced the clutch bout 3000 miles back with a brand spanking new sage two ceramic six puck...that should handle it right? Also the 2 step is for the Wednesday drags at BIR been wanting to run the car but needing to build some things up first. what's the most boost I could push on stock internals? and what suggestions would u guys have for cooling systems?

Depends on your tune for max boost. IIRC stock block in good shape is good to 500hp for the average bear with a solid tune.

Cooling system, id just make sure its all good to begin with. Good rad, hoses, water pump, fans, thermostat etc. If ur not using the ac and don't need to get rid of the extra fan you could relay the second fan to kick on with the first one for more airflow. also your tune will help keep our temps steady in a roundabout way (timing retarded or advanced too much).

A stage two clutch...what kind? EBay stuff has bad reputation, act, south bend, spec etc are all the go toos here.

I think link would better suit you. I'm lost on roms codes and all that good stuff. Unless you have a tuner then its gets kinda hard

Also the stock block has been in the 10's. Depends on the $$$ make a list and shop around.

clutch master i think it was an ebay ll admit but it seems to bee holding pretty good, it needs new struts as well (any suggestions megan racing coil overs) so i havnt tried droping the clutch or really breacking the tiresloose( it will spin them however at max boost(10lbs) in first an cherp them in to second)really. its a diamond in the rough at least in my opinion..so once again it thanks for all the help guys everythin ur saying is helping with future problems, much appreciation !!!!!
