Having trouble getting my sunroof to close. It will go about 5/6th of the way then stop and go back a little bit. It seems like it's hitting something on the passenger side of the rail, but i've checked it and everything seems fine. Any Suggestions? need an answer cause its raining!

On my car, I have to "help" the passenger side along a little bit to get it to close. There is a little part sticking out that you can push on to help the side go to close. Mine does the same thing, and nothing looks broke. Good luck

Ive tried lubing up the rails and tried applying pressure to the glass form the inside and outside of the car, and nothing.

something from inside the car you can push on? can you describe what and where?

ive seen some ppl mention there mount was the problem for there sunroof njot closing,i also had the issue and recently bought a new track, when replacing the cables i found one was broken, the stress on the tracks from only one side working broke it,so inspect the cables as well, good luck:thumb:

I don't if you tried this and can't remember how to do it at the moment as I have not worked for mitsubishi for over 5 years now but did you re-time the sunroof? Sometimes if the battery died or actually a number of reasons we had cars come in and the sunroof would only move in small movements till it closed or it did what you explain. I think you had to either hold the button to open the roof or close it for a couple of seconds. If that doesn't fix it then I would say one of the cables is either binding or broken. Good luck.

if you can close it using the allen wrench then take the headliner down. take the black box out and time it. you have to spin the gear around till it shows white in the cutout. i had the opposite problem mine would only open like 1" and then stop or close once i timed it, it opened completely and closed completely
