My goals are 350hp to 375 with my big 16g. I currently have a stock intercooler system, fuel system, and exhaust system. I've been told that if i put an exhaust system on my car right now that i will boost creep and possibly blow my motor with the 16g. Right now she's running perfect on 14lbs of boost. I was thinking about getting an afcII, 550's, fpr, and 255lph right now, but i would like an exhaust next if it doesnt overboost. Also, around what hp range will i over-run my sidemount and really NEED a front mount? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks. :dsm: :talon: :laser:

It's going to take a lot of work pushing that 16g to 350+ hp. It's easier with a bigger turbo. Read this article and note that this was on a mustang dyno.

That said, you need to do A LOT of research, but here's the basic rundown. It's late, so I'm sure I missed a few things:
Port the turbo to prevent creep (Although you'd be running high boost, so it might not matter) http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186525
660cc or higher injectors
255lph fuel pump
FPR
3" exhaust
FMIC
Short route piping
BOV
1G Throttle body
Cams (might as well do the headgasket and arp headstuds too)
Ported Exhaust manifold and O2 housing (or go tubular and O2 elim)
SAFC or DSMLink (better)
Alcohol/Methanol Injection
Race gas
TUNING TUNING TUNING

14lbs on the stock sidemount with a 16G? It'll work for a run or two, but then you'll start heatsoaking the turbo.

Like I said at the beginning, do your research. Most of your questions that you will have have already been answered.

Make sure you have all of your scheduled maintenance done before anything.

Timing belt, water pump, accesory belts, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, and a few other things.

while you do the timing belt, you can do the BS elimination also.

I currently have a jdm motor that was put in about 8,000 miles ago. before it got dropped in it was stripped and inspected, all new belts, balance shafts removed, etc etc, brand new big 16g, act 2100 clutch, act flywheel, sbr lsd, sbr boost controller, autometer boost and a/f gauge, all free mods done, powersteering removed, a/c removed, and just did a full tune-up this weekend. I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and im just looking to spend around 800 on taking it to the next level. I've done alot of research and know it takes alot to get to 350hp, im not thinking its going to happen after one more upgrade ROFL . Im just not quite sure what would be the best bang for the buck right now to hold me over untill i can afford to dump some more cash in.
