u would hammer the door skirt from the inside of the door? what are we trying to accomplish with that? i think he wants to fix the problem, not create more

I think they have a body filler for plastic parts but... Id sooner replace the whole thing. You'll just have to re paint a bit

For a quick fix that won't catch the eye. Get you some body filler, make sure all the loose pieces are dislodged, apply the filler, sand with some fine sandpaper, mask it off, and spray the smallest section possible with the closest spray can you can find and then clear it a few times. I had my local paint shop mix my paint code and put it into spray cans for one of my interior projects and it was very very close in color. Maybe you could look into this. Take care and time in the sanding process because this is where half a$$ and a decent job are separated. Good luck and post some pics when you're done.
