When getting on the gas hard I get a huge thud, whether its from the rear end or the engine I can't tell. It feels like some kind of motor, tranny, or driveshaft mount is blown. But it happened all of a sudden, not over time. Its also not the "thump, thump, thump" people discribed in topics about the carrier bearings. Its just one hard thud. It so bad on hard redline shifts that the car looses significant momentum and the boost response is terrible.
The only conclusion I've come to is that its obviously something loose because it does it at all the right times. I thought maybe a dead motor mount but they seem to be fine and the motor doesn't budge when pulled by hand.
