Ok... im new to this site and thought this was the place to start the thread.. I know DSMs having a problem with squeeling belts, and I have been chasing this problem for over a year. Iv done my research and tried everything. On a cold start my belts will squeel and i know for a fact its something that has to do with my alternator/belt/ pulleys. I have singled out that much. Iv ran all the belts seperatly and the only one that would squeel is the alternator. And when i have my system turned up or flip on my lights it will occur. This problem usually only occurs during start up and when ideling cold (30 sec- 1 min). I have tried getting new belts (5 times) readjusting tension, testing alternator, spinning free pulleys, and still cant figure out the problem. The only thing i can think of is when i had my timing belt and water pump replaced the water pump pulley was put on backwards which is a common problem from what i hear. So is it possible that from running the belt on a backwards pulley for about a week or two it misaligned the pulley or slightly bent it? The pulley is on the right way and has been for about a year. I need to seriously figure this out soon..
Not fun having a very beautiful car that has tons of money in it and embarrising myself every start up. Please help!!!!
