I've never heard of it. These cars don't have the same "axle wrap" problems that say a camaro or mustang would have. Just so I/we could get a better idea of what you have in mind... are you talking for the fronts or for the rears on an awd? Either way...independent susp. on both ends. If i'm wrong on this, then some please enlighten me.
 
There are a few companies making them but I do not remember offhand. From what I know these things are pretty stiff other than the Spyders. I think RRE has some. I used a set for my GTA Firebird years ago, but that car really needed them when the suspension was stiffened up
 
As badboy said they are extremely useful in Fbodies... Mine has them.

I will be making a set for my talon. Unfortunitely the price of steel is now through the roof so it makes it tough. I also can't decide if they will be cross supported, which is more matierial.

They are not just for RWD cars. Any car built on a unibody platform will benefit. Especially those that have upped the suspension. Spyders would love 'em.
