I just replaced my speakers with 2-way Infinity Kappas. 6.5s in the front and 6x9s in the rear. I'm debating on replacing the stock head unit but I was wondering a few things. If I do replace it if it is possible and how to use the stock amp with the speakers still. And if I do keep it if it is possible to wiring in a separate sub and amp. Thanks ahead of time. :)

It is possible to use the stock amp with a new head unit but your better off ripping out the stock amp. the stock head unit depending on what you go with will be more powerful that the stock amp. if you do decide to go with a new head unit and want to keep the stock amp, just wire in the deck how you usually would and you can still wire in a separate sub and amp. the stock amp should be powerful enough to power your new speakers.

I am currently running polk momo components in fronts and infinity kappa in the rear on a stock head unit and amp. I sounds pretty good in my opinion. But, I don't think you can have an aftermarket head unit with the stock amp though. How do you hook up a aftermarket deck to the factory amp?

If you want to add a sub then tap it from the speaker output of the stock amp for the signal to the aftermarket sub amp if you plan to keep the factory radio.

Im using an alpine deck on the stock infiniti amp. i was to lazy to remove the amp. its the same concept as your stock infiniti deck, just the aftermarket decks are more powerful and have more options. you just wire in the deck as you would to any other car. if you want to keep your stock head unit then wire in an adjustable line out converter from your left and right rear speakers and they will have two rca jacks on them. thats what you plug in to your aftermarket amp for it to get a signal.
