Soon im going to be making a fiberglass enclosure for my sub in my 1g, because having a normal square box is a pain in the ass in a 1g. I want to make the enclosure in the corner of the rear hatch area. My sub is an audiobahn and it goes really deep into the box. So i was wondering if it would sound the same if i put it in the other way (woofer cone is facing inside the enclosure, magnet is outside of box)?

sounds like you are doing the same thing i did as far as the box goes. I think the sub facing in or out will sound the same as I have seen pros install subs both ways in the same setup.

Where in iowa are you from?

Yes, you can do that (it's known as mounting the sub "inverted", so that the magnet is on the outside of the box). It will work just fine.

Hey jepherz, I just moved outta Rochester a few month ago, last I looked, there weren't many dsm guys there, just a couple 2g turbos.
