ok so my car has been stuttering quite a bit lately. when im driving around you can feel it kind of slow itself down a bit then stop and it does this pretty frequently. i have an irregular low idle. most of the mtime if i go drive it for a while then park it for about an hour and start it again it will start really hard and die, i have to start it and hold my foot on the gas til it wants to behave.

my only two thoughts on this could be my fuel pump going or i have a vacuum leak. my reasoning for the vacuum leak is i dropped boost from 14 to 7 so i know theres a leak but would that be the cause of the stuttering like it does? or more towards fuel pump. i dont want to throw money at it til i know for sure.

You're on Mountain Standard Time, so it's only a little after 9 there. I'd fix it tonight :sneaky: . Just kidding, good luck.

How long ago did the stuttering start? Did you replace the wires and plugs after this started? I am only asking because a similiar problem was mentioned on VFAQ I happened across last night while researching and it had something to do with moisture in the spark plug wells building up. I'm no expert but it might be worth a double check just to make sure you're not getting some kind of arcing action going on here.

its been doing it ever since my 1g maf went bad. a lot of things were happening once i replaced it everything went away accept the stuttering. its been about a month maybe 2 months. i replaced wires and plugs after it was doing it

I would check all of your couplers I had the same problem and mine was coming from the 2 bolts that bolt the j-pipe to the intake housing of the turbo
