Before I say anything just know that I have no idea about the balance shafts or the belt system. So just be warned that this idea may be very dumb and wrong.
I always hear about ppl removing the balance shafts but if the are belt driven couldnt you just unbelt it, or put in a pulley that that would just slip the belt or even a pullie that spins freely on a bearing around the shaft?
I know you would still have the extra weight of the balance shaft but the engine wouldnt have to waste energy on it.
Keep in mind I know nothing about the balance shafts or the belt system
So if this makes no sense just reply...
