stuck wastegate...wtf

ok does anyone know how to fix a wastegate acuator if it wont open like its stuck. its the one that came on the big16g..is there any way to fix this or do i have to buy a new one??

u probably need a new one. I dont think u can fix a broken actuautor.....Just buy a used one off of a 14b from a junk yard or something.

Wastegate actuator rods are hard to activate by hand. I would imagine it would be harder on a newer, less broken in one. I'm not sure if I'm specifically answering your question.

Is it stuck in the sense that you can't move the actuator rod, or what?

I'm looking for some more information on the problem at hand.

it will move if i pull on it hard enough. but my turbo doesnt spool at all and doesn't create any boost. so some one said that the it might be stuck..........please help me out on this i have no i dea what is wrong

If it was stuck shut you would be building too much boost. Only if it was stuck open would you not build boost. Check the turbo for shaft play.

ok i checked the other day and the turbine would spin freely but still no boost.. so i checked it again today and the blades do not spin at all they are stuck and wont move, does this mean my turbo is fried?
