well i finally got them bent up cotter pins out.
now hmmm something else needs to go wrong and here we have it!; one of the bushings on the end of a shift cable is stuck to the shifter arm on the tranny. hmm maybe that had something to do with my shifting problems?! let some wd40 sit over night since its too dark to work on it now. but i suggest everyone with slop shit shifting to go make sure their bushings are free and easy on the tranny and shifter! people complaining of the slop from the bushings under the shifter assembly  damn this cars problems.

anybody ever have a problem like this? should i clamp down on it with a channel lock and twist that junk as hard as my girly little wrists can? and wouldnt that just destroy the rubber and then make it harder to grab the inside metal tube or w/e?
