stuck in 1st

i got the car from a guy and it didn't have any gear oil in it so i fill it up and now the car is stuck in 1st....if you put it in nuteral and the car still pulls like its in 1st and if you put it in 2nd or reverse it pull like its in 1st all the other gears it just bogs down and dies

Sounds like possibly an internal problem. Broken shift fork?

dose anyone have a trany laying around they don't want???
