Stuck Clutch pedal PLEASE HELP

When I do any fast shifting the clutch pedal will get stuck to the floor and then smack my foot. I can feel the clutch slipping while it is stuck and i guess it engages when i smacks my foot. I really need to fix this. My clutch was just replaced and is now getting grinded down because of this. What could it be?

you could have a master cylinder leak or slave cylinder leak. It could also be a mis-adjusted clutch pedal.

I found directions for replacing the slave cylinder on VFAQS but nothing for the master cylinder, any clues??

Look at your clutch pedal, there is a rod on the back of it that goes into the master cylinder. there will be a gromet where the rod goes into, check for any seapage or fluid that may have leaked out. That would be my best guess as your problem. The slave is operated by the master so the master would need to have a problem for that to happen.

When you say the pedal smacks your foot, can you press it in the remove your foot, does it rise slower than usual. Or does it get stuck at the bottem then just "pop" up. If it pops up there is air somewhere in the line, a quick inspection of the master cylinder boot and the boot on the slave cylinder can tell you if its leaking. Maybe bleed the clutch and see if that fixes it.

I had the 1st scenerio. When I replaced my clutch pressure plate and flywheel, and had the tranny on teh ground, we would move the clutch fork in and out (throwout bearing sliking on shaft) and you could see the obvious sticking it had. New TOB (also replaced the clutch fork with Taboos clutch fork, and added a new pivot ball) cleaned that slop right up.
