Clutch pedal issue- please help

I just bought a 96 Talon TSI AWD with 65k on it. Ive noticed that the clutch pedal acts a little bit strange somethimes. It is very hard to explain but it feels like a clicking feel or added ressistance when I press the clutch down like 3/4's or the way. It only does this after it has been driving for a little while too. Maybe it is just something that needs to be lubed or adjusted, but when I searched for some possibilities I saw the word crankwalk come up more than once. I really hope that is not what is going on here. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There is no fluid dripping from the master cylinder whatsoever

Was the mechanic referring to the boot on the slave cylinder, or the boot that covers the hole on the tranny where the clutch fork sticks thru the tranny housing?
Just a thought, but if the cover for the clutch fork was off, then more than likely the shaft where your throw out bearing slides may be dirty and needing to be cleaned and freshly lubricated.

Have you found a solution to this problem?? I am hearing the same creaking noise when i press the clutch in and it is coming out of the tranny??
