So I'm doing my BSE and I used red loctite on the OEM mitsu bolt and torqued to 25ft-lbs. Then I read stories of peoples stubby shaft bolt coming loose and falling off and that people were torquing the bolt to 29 ft-lbs. So about 36 hours later before I installed the front case I toruqed the bolt 4 more ft-lbs. My question is, did I just break the loctite by tightening the bolt? Should I pull the bolt back out clean it off, put the loctite again and torque while still wet, or should I be okay? I just don't want this bolt to back out.

I would definetly remove and clean the threads and retorque while the loctite is wet

You never wanna have that little voice in the back of your head saying "Are you sure it will be alright?"

PS
Ive always torqued them down to 20ft lbs with red loctite and never had a problem... just make sure to use a quality torque wrench ;)

HAHA I just actually had mine back out on me... This time I torqued it pretty hard and lots of lock tite. I would probably take it off and redo it.. Its just not worth a front case and the time to change it when it does back out..

I haven't installed the castle plug yet, can I remove the bolt and reinstall it through the circle where the castle plug sits without removing the front case? Reason being I used copper spray and assembled when it was wet so it would seal nice.

Is the oil pan on.. It might be hard to hold the stubby shaft solid so you can unscrew it.
