I have a 98 rs, the back was lowered with coils. I wanted to raise it back up to deal with the neg camber issues, figgured it was the easiest since I am selling it.
OK so I replaced the coils with the stock springs, bolted it all back up.
Heres the problem the upper rubber bushings under the plate keep slipping down I installed them how I think they should go but I really cant see anyway to keep them from sliding down.
Does anyone have a pic of how they should look or know where I can find a parts blow up
of the rear strut assembly.
I am seriously stuck and need the car running ASAP.
I dont know if I am missing a part or what, I have 2 black rubber bushings 1 yellow 1 gold color large sort of flanged washer 1 silver metal sleave and the nut.
PLEASE all help will be appreciated.

TAHNK YOU

Thanks jtmcinder that did help, kind of hard to compare what I have to the drawaing,
but it looks like I am missing the spring issolator and the dust shield.
I am guessing I need the issolator, but do I really need the dust shield?

Thanks

Dust cover is good for protecting the polished shaft. Otherwise, it could get damaged or you could get gunk into the strut body.

*Edit* Jtoby, that diagram looks a bit incomplete. From what I remember when I replaced my struts, there should be an additional small metal sleeve and 2 more bushings, one above the mount plate and one below.

Here is a more complete diagram (I hope) that I dug out of my elaborate filing system for all papers on my dsm (aka my glovebox).

Havoc, the parts you listed:

2 black rubber bushings: 41406B and 41406C. If I remember correctly, 41406C has a little nipple on it that should point upward.

1 silver sleeve: 41971, which fits into the affore mentioned nipple.

1 large flanged washer: 41993B and the nut that holds everything down: 41997C.

You mentioned an unspecified "one yellow" which I am going to assume is the bumpstop since that is the only yellow part in the mix. It is 41421 and is a large rubber ball type thing and is the first part to go on the shaft of the strut. (ballside up, accordian side down)

From what I gather, you are missing the dust cover (41423) and the cap which fits into it (41415). The cap is the piece that sits on the protruding ring of the strut shaft and stops everything from falling down. (the yellow bumpstop might fall down but it's not a big deal).

From the dealership, the cap is $12.25 although they might make you buy the dust cover along with it since they are fitted together.

Hope that helps.
